Shock-headed Peter Run powered by Mainova
The Shock-headed Peter Run powered by Mainova is a traditional running event for children from five to nine years old. We organize it on Saturday, October 27th, at 12am the day before the BMW Frankfurt Marathon. And it’s great fun for everyone.
With the help of the Caritas Frankfurt (our official Charity partner) the race starts at noon on Saturday and follows a 420 meter long course across the Messe Frankfurt area. The kids start in five groups according to their age in a ten minute interval. For some motivation Kamghe Gaba – a real track and field athlete who starts for the LG Eintracht Frankfurt is at the starting line. He is a great guy, the kids really do love him.
The finish line is inside the Festhalle where just one day later all the 15,000 marathon runners arrive. Everyone gets a personal certificate and the first 1200 little runners receive a complimentary ASICS t-shirt as well.
Participation is free and for all kids and their parents an unforgettable experience. Make sure to bring your camera.
Simply register online until October 7th. Late registration is possible on October 26th from 1.30 pm to 7pm (at the Mini-Marathon race number desk, inside the Messe Frankfurt, Marathonmall, Hall 1, Level 2) and shortly before the Shock-headed Peter Run powered by Mainova on Saturday at 10am (inside Forum Messe Frankfurt). Free information brochures can be ordered via email () or phone 069-37000468-0.
